Do you have a feature request or a good idea for how to improve PostgreSQL? You can use this forum to let us know. (This is an experiment; see http://www.postgresql.org/support/ for more offical ways to contact the PostgreSQL project. Please report actual bugs and conduct development discussions there.)

I suggest you ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

      • Granular replication

        Postgres builit-in replication based on WAL replicates all databases in a system.There is no way to limit replication to some databases or tables. It would be really useful if filtering can be done at database or table level. We were forced to go with londiste even after 9.1 upgrade just due to this limitation.

        • Multicolumn statistics

          Allow to create and use multicolumn statistics.
          Or to suggests that column values depends on each other, in order to obtain better plans when a query involves conditions on related columns

          • Adopt INSERT INTO ... SET from MySQL

            I realize that this isn't standard SQL, but it is nicer to read.

            It looks like:

            INSERT INTO t SET
            col1='val1',
            col2='va21',
            col3='val3',
            col4='val4',
            col5='val5',
            col6='val6',
            col7='val7',
            col8='val8',
            col9='val9',
            col10='val10',
            col11='val11',
            col12='val12',
            col13='val13',
            col14='val14',
            col15='val15';
